Scott Brown, 2020 Night of Hope Gala Co-Chair
Living with T1D for over 22 years, Scott is a graduate of University of Florida, Class of 1990. Scott was a former McDonald’s Franchisee for over 25 years and served on the Regional Board for over 12 years. He is the co-founder of Brave Me, LLC, which is a company that provides medical, educational and pediatric videos that empower children by lessening the fear of medical procedures and increase the understanding of chronic illness.
Scott is honored to serve on the JDRF Board and to continue his fundraising efforts as the co-chair of the 2020 Gala.
Scott has been married to his lovely wife, Andrea, for 26 years and is the father of 3 college aged daughters (and 2 rescue dogs). In his free time, Scott enjoys the beach, fishing, playing guitar and golf.
Tom Danford, 2020 Night of Hope Gala Co-Chair
Diagnosed with T1D in 1983, Tom Danford has been active with JDRF, beginning in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area where his parents were co-founders of the local chapter in 1985. Over the past 35 years, he has had extensive involvement with JDRF. He was Board Member for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter, 2000 JDRF Imagine Ball Gala Co-Chair, Team Coach 2004 Ride for a Cure, and 2020 One Walk Committee member, to name a few.
He is honored to continue his fundraising efforts and passion for finding a cure for T1D as the 2020 Gala Co-Chair.
Tom is the Regional Director for Incentive Services, a performance and incentive recognition firm. He is married to his beautiful wife, Meredith, and has two children, Oliver (10) and Charlotte (8).
